College of Agriculture Continues Tree-Planting in Schools as Part of Its Plan to Increase Green Spaces in Kirkuk

The Department of Field Crops at the College of Agriculture, University of Kirkuk, in cooperation with the Afforestation Unit and the Student Activities Division, organized a tree-planting campaign that included planting seedlings in the gardens of the new building of Al-Iraq Secondary School for Distinguished Students.

The Head of the Department of Field Crops at the college, Professor Dr. Khattab Abdullah Mohammed, explained that faculty members and students of the department carried out the tree-planting campaign in the gardens of the new building of the school as part of the college’s ongoing initiative to plant trees in schools and government institutions in Kirkuk Province, in conjunction with National Afforestation Day.

He added that the tree-planting campaigns adopted by the College of Agriculture at the University of Kirkuk will continue, reflecting the college’s commitment to promoting a culture of afforestation, encouraging tree planting, and increasing green spaces in Kirkuk Province.
