The Afforestation Unit at the College of Agriculture organized a tree-planting campaign under the supervision of the Head of the Afforestation Unit, Assistant Lecturer Umaima Abdul-Samad Hassan, and with the follow-up of Lecturer Dr. Ali Abbas Ali. The campaign was carried out as part of efforts to increase green spaces within the university campus and promote environmental awareness.
The Head of the Afforestation Unit explained that the campaign aims to support the principles of environmental sustainability and improve the university environment, as tree planting plays an important role in moderating the climate, reducing pollution, and adding an aesthetic appearance that positively reflects on the academic environment.
She added that the campaign witnessed the participation of a number of students and faculty members, reflecting a spirit of cooperation and voluntary work.
