Educational and Pedagogical Directives Derived from the Verses on Fasting in a Scientific Symposium

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Farhad Aziz Mohiuddin, Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, and as part of a series of scientific activities aimed at elucidating the educational meanings in Quranic texts, the Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Division, organized a scientific symposium entitled "Educational and Pedagogical Directives Derived from the Verses on Fasting." The symposium addressed the profound educational implications of the verses on fasting in the Holy Quran. The lecturers reviewed the educational and moral foundations established by these verses and their impact on building the individual and society according to an integrated educational approach. The symposium also highlighted the impact of fasting in promoting positive values, such as patience, discipline, and social solidarity, as well as its impact on refining the soul and developing spiritual and educational awareness. The symposium also discussed how to employ the principles derived from the verses on fasting in the educational process and their impact on preparing generations on solid educational foundations that promote the ethics of learning, self-discipline, and social responsibility. .
