The Human Rights Unit at the College of Agriculture organized a seminar on Human Rights and the Impact of Crimes and Violations on Society, with the attendance of the College Dean, faculty members, staff, students, and Dr. Thabit Ali, Director of the Human Rights Division at the University of Kirkuk.

The seminar aimed to promote awareness of human rights culture, highlight its importance in achieving justice and equality, shed light on the violations faced by society, and emphasize the need to strengthen the role of law in protecting human dignity.

The seminar included lectures delivered by Ms. Dhamia Mohammed Jassim Al-Jubouri, Director of the High Commission for Human Rights Office, Mr. Sarood Mahmoud Shaker, Head of the Publication and Awareness Division at the Human Rights Commission, and Assistant Lecturer Lina Saadon Abdulmajid, Head of the Human Rights Unit at the College of Agriculture.

The seminar recommended promoting human rights culture and raising awareness within society and universities, ensuring the implementation of laws to protect rights and achieve justice and equality, supporting vulnerable groups and guaranteeing their rights without discrimination, strengthening cooperation with the High Commission for Human Rights in Iraq to raise awareness and monitor violations, encouraging the organization of continuous seminars and awareness activities, and respecting personal freedoms in accordance with the law and societal values.
