The College of Agriculture, Hawija, held a specialized scientific symposium on the reality and challenges of the wheat crop, with the participation of a number of teachers and researchers. The symposium recommended the need to form a supreme committee in coordination with the ministries of planning, water resources, agriculture and trade in order to prepare long and short-term plans to rectify the agricultural sector, by implementing a number of measures. On the practical and political levels, in coordination with the upstream countries of international rivers, and the construction of large dam projects to take advantage of the large releases in the winter season.
