Teaching at the College of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhannad Qader Karim, published a joint scientific research entitled (Nile red based dye D-π-A as a promising material for solar cell applications) in Chemical papers in cooperation with a research team from Iraqi universities.Al-Taridi stated that "the research included conducting a computer simulation using the (TD DFT) program to find new organic pigments, studying their properties and knowing how to theoretically increase their efficiency through the computer simulation program.It is noteworthy that the magazine is one of the international journals classified within the Scopus and Clarivate containers within the classification of Q2 Scopus h-index 46, cite score 3.1 and affiliated to the international publishing house Springer.
