The Effectiveness of Volunteer Work and Its Impact on Achieving Sustainable Development

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Farhad Aziz Mohiuddin, Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, the Department of Arabic Language, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Division, organized a scientific symposium entitled "The Effectiveness of Volunteer Work in the University Environment and Its Impact on Achieving Sustainable Development." The symposium highlighted the importance of volunteer work in promoting positive values ​​within the university campus and its impact on instilling a culture of cooperation and social responsibility among students. It also discussed the impact of these activities on achieving sustainable development goals by contributing to improving the university environment and supporting initiatives that promote sustainability and continuous development in educational institutions. The symposium also addressed several topics, most notably the impact of volunteer work in enhancing the spirit of belonging and teamwork among students and the role of universities in encouraging students to engage in volunteer initiatives that leave a sustainable impact on society. It reviewed successful experiences of student initiatives that contributed to improving university facilities and providing volunteer services that benefit their colleagues and the academic community as a whole. The Dean praised the importance of this symposium, emphasizing that volunteer work is the cornerstone of building strong and informed university communities and contributes to preparing students. Students who are more responsible and capable of creating positive change in their communities.
