Faculty of Arts Professor Chairs Master’s Thesis Defense Committee at the University of Sulaimani

Prof. Dr. Dilshad Omar Abdulaziz, a faculty member in the History Department at the University of Kirkuk’s Faculty of Arts, chaired the defense committee for a Master’s thesis titled "The Relationship of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran with Political Parties in Southern Kurdistan (1979–1996)." The defense was held for the researcher Avan Majid at the Faculty of Humanities, University of Sulaimani.

The thesis aimed to shed light on the relations between the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran (KDPI) and political parties in Southern Kurdistan, examining the influence of internal, regional, and international circumstances on these relationships during the period of study.

The study concluded that the Iran-Iraq War and the Second Gulf War had a direct impact—both positive and negative—on the dynamics between these political parties throughout the timeframe addressed in the research.
