Two faculty members from the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering, College of Agriculture, University of Kirkuk—Asst. Lecturer Lina Saadon Abdulmajid and Asst. Lecturer Omar Turhan Jalil—have published a scientific research paper in the International Journal of Biological Engineering and Agriculture, a peer-reviewed international journal specializing in biological engineering and agricultural sciences.
The researchers explained that the published study is titled “Effect of Different Levels of Organic and Foliar Fertilizers on Vegetative Growth and Yield of Apple Trees (Golden Delicious Cultivar).”
They added that the study aimed to investigate the effect of organic fertilizers and foliar application of different fertilizers on improving vegetative growth characteristics and both quantitative and qualitative yield of Golden Delicious apple trees, as well as identifying the most efficient treatments for enhancing production and fruit quality.
