The University of Kirkuk holds a training course on the application of national institutional accreditation standards for higher education institutions

The Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance Evaluation held a training course on the application of national institutional accreditation standards for higher education institutions, with the participation of officials of the quality assurance divisions in the university faculties.The course aimed at the need for institutional accreditation standards and indicators for higher education institutions in Iraq, as accurate knowledge of standards and application of their paragraphs certainly leads to ensuring the desired results to raise the levels of performance of teachers and workers in Iraqi universities.The course included lectures given by Prof. Dr. Diaa Sarhan Al-Azzawi, Professor. Abdul Hakim Shakour, M.M. Dalia Badi Omar discussed everything related to the eight approved standards for national institutional accreditation for higher education institutions in Iraq, with a detailed explanation of each standard, as well as how to write a self-evaluation report for institutional and program accreditation and a report on conformity with standards.The session recommended the need to work on applying the self-evaluation paragraphs to ensure accreditation to enter into the international rankings of universities, following up the members of the institutional accreditation committees and introducing them to the importance of the evaluation process and making them aware of its mistakes in order to try to avoid it, and emphasizing the importance of documenting everything related to institutional work as one of the evidence required to implement the paragraphs of the eight standards and accredited for institutional accreditation.web01
