The University of Kirkuk discusses new wavelet analysis and its application to image processing

The Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology discussed the Master's thesis entitled "New Wavelet Analysis and its Application to Image Processing" by student Ala Kouders Rostom, Department of Computer and supervised by Prof. Prof. Burhan Fakhr El-Din Gomaa, Prof. Dr. Assem Majid Murshid. The study aimed to analyze modern wavelets for their application in processing And compress images and remove noise through the use of modern methods and with different designs that contribute to maintaining the accuracy of video and photo-graphic images. The study concluded a new method for compressing color images and medical images, such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT) by the new Wavelet using the first and second integration calculation Analytically (matrix operations), and calculating the general form of wavelet integration Haar, cosine and sine. The researcher recommended using these methods in the fields of audio and video compression and integrating these methods with the proposed algorithm for image compression without data loss, such as (Code Huffman) or (RLE).
