The Dean of Hawija College of Agriculture, Prof. Khaled Khalil Ahmed, chaired the regional committee of the Climate Change Conference held at the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering, Tishreen University - Lattakia - Syria.The Dean of the College stated that "the conference aimed at reviewing and evaluating the climatic risks threatening human societies and ecosystems, and working on developing plans and strategies for developing water resources and limiting desertification to ensure agricultural security and production development in the two countries."He added that "the conference included holding a number of seminars and workshops, the most prominent of which was "the impact of climate change on the environment and sustainable agriculture," in which he presented a research paper for a scientific overview on the impact of climate change on sustainable agriculture and the environment.
