The Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kirkuk University, Professor Dr. Shahd Abbas Al-Attar, signed a joint scientific cooperation agreement with her counterpart at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Tikrit University. The agreement included several key areas, most notably the implementation of a comprehensive development plan for joint scientific research, in addition to the exchange of expertise through faculty participation in scientific and research discussion committees and editorial boards across all fields related to the development of higher education. It also included joint cooperation in teaching and training, as well as the organization of seminars, conferences, and specialized training courses in veterinary medicine, in addition to holding joint scientific camps and competitions for students. During the meeting, Dr. Al-Attar emphasized the importance of this agreement, which aims to enhance scientific integration among veterinary medicine colleges in all Iraqi universities. She stressed the necessity of supporting the path of sustainable development and the desired academic and research advancement, which will significantly contribute to the quality of higher education and scientific research outputs and community service. It is worth noting that both parties commended the efforts made to achieve the desired goals of this agreement, to elevate the scientific, intellectual, and academic landscape. They expressed their aspiration to expand the horizons of joint cooperation to achieve the strategic goals of both parties and to contribute to developing and strengthening the position of veterinarians in supporting development.
