English Within the activities of the “Read” initiative in its third edition, which was launched by the President of the University of Kirkuk, Prof. Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Prof. Dr. Shahad Abbas Al-Attar, the college library organized many and varied activities within the “Read” initiative. Under the slogan of research engineering and indexical intelligence, the library division at the college organized an initiative to promote the culture of reading, develop the intellectual capabilities of students, and encourage them to develop their scientific and cognitive skills, in a way that contributes to building a conscious university personality capable of creativity and excellence. The initiative aimed to enable students to extract three medical terms from major books, hold the Golden Line Marathon by selecting the best scientific sentence from books and documenting it, hold a paper mind mapping workshop by converting complex chapters into drawn visual paintings, in addition to various scientific activities that contributed to developing students’ reading skills.
