Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Farhad Aziz Mohiuddin, Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, the Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education organized a scientific symposium entitled "Sustainable Development in Light of Islamic Values" within the framework of enhancing academic and applied awareness of the concepts of sustainable development and its role in building societies. The symposium addressed the concept of sustainable development from an Islamic perspective, highlighting the principles of sustainability in the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet and the role of Islamic values in achieving a balance between economic, social and environmental development. The symposium also discussed the importance of rational management of resources, enhancing the culture of social responsibility and the role of individuals in achieving the goals of sustainable development. It also discussed the challenges facing sustainable development in contemporary reality and solutions inspired by Islamic values to enhance development in various sectors. The Dean praised the importance of such scientific events in spreading awareness about sustainable development issues and enhancing the role of students in contributing effectively to building a more sustainable future, calling for continuing scientific research in this field and linking academic concepts to the reality of society and its needs.
