A scientific trip to the historical Qishla of Kirkuk

A scientific trip to the historical Qishla of Kirkuk was organized by the History Department at the College of Basic Education for its students on Tuesday, 16/12/2025, as part of scientific activities aimed at linking theoretical aspects with practical application and field observation of important historical landmarks.
A comprehensive explanation was provided about the historical and architectural significance of the Qishla of Kirkuk, its prominent role in the city's history during various periods, as well as highlighting its heritage value as a living witness to important historical eras.
The trip included a field tour inside the Qashla, a visit to the folkloric museum, where the students listened to precise scientific information that enhanced their understanding of the subject matter and contributed to the development of their research and historical skills.
This scientific trip is part of a series of scientific activities thru which the department aims to enrich students' knowledge and deepen their connection to Iraq's cultural and historical heritage.
