A scientific seminar entitled “Leadership in Islam: Principles and Ethics” at the College of Basic Education at the University of Kirkuk

Under the patronage of the President of University of Kirkuk, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Basic Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Ali, and in cooperation with the Continuing Education Division at the College, a scientific seminar entitled “Leadership in Islam: Principles and Ethics” was held on Monday, 9 February 2026.
The seminar was presented by Asst. Lecturer Ismail Ismail Adwan and addressed the concept of leadership in Islam, with particular emphasis on the fundamental principles and ethical values established by Islamic teachings in shaping the character of a leader. The lecture highlighted the role of these values in promoting justice, enhancing responsibility, and fostering cooperation and institutional work. In addition, it examined the impact of ethical leadership on community development and the advancement of educational institutions.

The seminar was well attended by academic staff and students and included constructive interventions and questions that enriched the discussion and contributed to achieving its scientific and educational objectives. It further emphasized the importance of drawing upon Islamic values in contemporary leadership practices and recommended the organization of similar scientific activities to promote leadership and ethical awareness. The seminar concluded by reaffirming the vital role of educational institutions in instilling humanitarian and educational principles within society.image2026-2-9-3.jpg
