A Researcher from the University of Kirkuk Publishes a Scientific Study in a Global Journal Indexed in Scopus and Clarivate
In a new scientific achievement, Dr. Harith Adnan Mohammed Hamza, a faculty member in the Department of Economics at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Kirkuk, has published a research paper in a global scientific journal affiliated with Elsevier, indexed in Scopus and Clarivate databases. The study was conducted in collaboration with a researcher from Malaysia.
The research is titled:
"Economic Consequences of the U.S. Invasion of Iraq: A Comparative Study Using the Difference-in-Difference Model"
The study analyzed the economic and social impacts of post-2003 events in Iraq by comparing the performance of the Iraqi economy with that of Saudi Arabia and Algeria across different time periods, utilizing the Difference-in-Differences (DID) methodology. The results revealed clear challenges in GDP indicators, human development, and economic balances, reflecting the repercussions of shocks and institutional instability on the Iraqi economy.
