Lecturer Afnan Salah, from the College of Engineering at Kirkuk University, published a research paper on the effect of using geosynthetic clay linings (GCLs) on the seepage characteristics of earth dams in the Civil Engineering Journal, indexed in Scopus and Clarivate databases and ranked in the first quartile (Q1).The study evaluated the effect of using geosynthetic clay linings (GCLs) in reducing water seepage and runoff within earth dams, based on laboratory experiments using a permeability tank.
