The College of Arts hosts an international scientific symposium on the dangers of drugs and how students might help fight them in educational institutions.

The Faculty of Arts at the University of Kirkuk held an international scientific symposium on the dangers of drugs and the role of students of educational institutions in combating them in cooperation with the BRC Scientific and Humanitarian Foundation and with the participation of international professors and researchers. The symposium aimed to contribute to reducing the spread of drugs among members of society and to enhance the voluntary participation of members of civil society and its institutions, especially educational institutions, and the role of students in the field of drug control. And benefit from regional and international experiences in the field of drug control. The symposium included a lecture given by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Prof. Dr. Omar Najmadin Anjeh, through which he explained that drugs affect the social performance of individuals, and are a burden on society. including social problems in terms of an increase in psychological and mental conditions, instability in housing, an increase in divorce rates, murders, and suicides, and an increase in car accidents as a result of driving under the influence of drugs.
