The College of Agriculture at the University of Kirkuk launched an agricultural campaign to plant schools in the province in cooperation with the Directorate of Education of Kirkuk, with the participation of the dean and many faculty members. The dean of the college, Dr. Osama Ibrahim Ahmed, explained that the management of the agricultural research and experiments station of the college has equipped the Directorate of Education of Kirkuk and its schools with a number of deciduous fruit trees (80 apricot trees, 50 apple trees, 40 peach trees, and 30 aloes) as a first meal, and they have been planted in school gardens. He added that this initiative comes within its plan to spread the culture of afforestation in government institutions and departments in Kirkuk Governorate.
