In the presence of the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abed Ibrahim, the College of Computer Science and Information Technology discussed the first master’s thesis tagged “A flexible platform for evaluating a hybrid system of free space communications / optical wireless communications: simulation and presentation based on optical network applications” by the student Bashir Mosleh Mahdi, and supervision Prof. Dr. Issa Ibrahim Issa. The study aimed at the importance of developing a wireless optical communication system at the lowest possible cost, because of its great importance in various areas of life. The study concluded the possibility of improving the transmission distance of the (Fso) link, increasing data transmission and the number of users and solving the problem of the last mile. The researcher finds the relationship between global warming and dense dust and its impact on the performance of the optical wireless communication network.
