An instructor at the College of Veterinary Medicine lectures at a scientific symposium on the COVID-19 pandemic at Imam Jaafar Al-Sadiq University (PBUH)

The head of the parasites branch at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Kirkuk, Prof. Dr. Shahad Abbas Ali participated with number of teachers and specialists in a scientific symposium organized by Imam Jaafar Al-Sadiq University (PBUH), Kirkuk branch, about the Corona virus pandemic and its negative effects.

The symposium aimed at introducing the virus and ways to prevent it, and the possibility of ways to transmit it from one person to another, as well as the mechanism of transmission of the virus to animals, especially domestic animals, such as cats and dogs when they come into contact with infected people.The participants discussed the COVID-19 transmission between humans and animals, indicating that majority studies have shown that the virus is predominantly transmitted between people, which occurs primarily via respiratory droplets from coughs and sneezes within a range of about 1.8 meters.
