Kirkuk University has qualified for the semi-finals of the Iraqi Universities Debating World Championship, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in cooperation with the International Academy for Leadership and Development. Ms. Marwa Redha Shakour stated, "Kirkuk University achieved victory today against Al-Qadisiyah and Kufa Universities after a debate between its student debaters. Kirkuk University has qualified for the next stages, awaiting the winners of the other competitions, and will also be selecting the best speakers from Kirkuk University." It is worth noting that the University Debating World Championship is a cultural competition among Iraqi public and private universities, aiming to form a scientific team to represent Iraqi universities in preparation for participation in the Arab and international university debate championships.
